One really interesting thing about rocks is that they can contain a lot of water. Another interesting thing about rocks is that water can flow relatively easy through many types of sedimentary rocks. This is where Emma and Marie are getting their water from. Over time the process of pulling water out of the rocks will dissolve and weaken the rocks but since I don't know how to calculate that (yet), I didn't include that detail in the current scene. Rocks are really interesting.

Also, I'm currently out of town and will be not able to respond to comments in a timely manner. So apologies in advance if you leave a comment and it takes me forever + a day to respond.

Woooah, this is a very dynamic page! I really like the angles here! Fae didn't have to work hard at all to be bait, no kidding. Emma's quite happy to oblige at trying to catch her by the looks of it.

Very cool info on the rocks as well!

Have fun while you're out of town! :D

Glad you like the page and rock info! :)

I had a lot of fun while out of town! Today is recovery day from all the fun and moving about. I'm bruised and sun burned from the first half of my trip, but the injuries were totally worth learning to ski. The second half was spent at a science convention, so it was a lot less perilous but I learned so much! :)

I didn't know that about rocks.

I like the last panel. I can't do energy and momentum as well as this.

I'm glad you like it. :)

I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit in the energy and momentum department. The last panel on page 21 of Piper's Song where Bebber is swinging his switchblade hockey stick is so full of energy and momentum (and it is an amazing panel, too). I think that panel from your comic is the better example of energy and momentum than this page. :)

But I also think it's a lot easier for artists in general to see the enviable qualities in another's work than what went right in our own. I know, at least for my own work that all I can ever see is the areas for improvement instead of the areas where I did well. I have a much easier time seeing all the wonderful things that other artists do.

I love Fae's expression. Still not thrilled about the bait role, is she?

Glad you like it! :)

Not thrilled at all. She was kind of hoping that being bait would have been a harder task, if only so that she wouldn't have to run as if her life depended on it (which it kind of does).

Oh wow...that's a really cool detail to put in there (the water coming from the rocks)! Her experession at the end is really good. I would probably have the same one if I were her. lol

Thanks! I'd be making that same expression too. :)
